Mission Details : PNG is affectionately known as the land of the unexpected. You’ll experience this first-hand during your volunteering experience! We visit some of the country’s most remote locations where sometimes a person’s only mode of transport is a canoe and a paddle. The MV YWAM PNG is equipped with an onboard dentistry clinic, day procedure unit (currently used for ophthalmology and minor surgical procedures) and a laboratory. The vessel also operates as a mother ship – patrol tenders are launched from the vessel to reach extremely remote areas with essential healthcare for maximum impact. Volunteering on YWAM MSA’s Medical Ship is an adventure filled opportunity where you can make a real difference and experience the beautiful Papua New Guinean culture. We partner with local health care providers to offer quality training and medical care to some of the world’s most remote areas.
